the Electronic BlackBoard(TM)
is a computer program that quickly and accurately calculates
race results for timed race events in a user-friendly, Microsoft Windows environment.
the Electronic BlackBoard will manage your race data from the set up of the event to the
printing of the results. All race registration data is maintained by the program's database and
may be retrieved for future administrative and marketing uses, making follow-up
communication and registration for future races more manageable.
History
Have you ever had a great weekend of racing, but then to have it blown because you had to wait for three hours to find out how you did? All you want is the stupid results sheet. Well, this happened to me many years ago and inspired me to create
the Electronic BlackBoard(TM).
One month later, at the next race in the series, we only had to wait an hour and a half.
I still had a few issues to resolve with my program.
The next year I was sponsoring this same race series and two others.
The results were done on time, and no one had to wait for that little piece of paper that summed up their weekend efforts.
Why Use the Electronic BlackBoard?
- Adaptability.
The program is able to accommodate any type of race, size of race, or age class requirements. Various start formats, levels of timing precision and unlimited designations for splits and transitions are also available to allow you to define the specific parameters of your race.
The program is compatible with major industry timing equipment, allowing the data to download directly into the program, ready to be tabulated and formatted into reports.
- User Friendly.
The program can be learned and mastered within a very short period of time.
Clearly identified data windows ensure that all vital information is entered.
Inconsistent data is flagged for correction or verification.
- Results on the World Wide Web.
Race Directors who use
the Electronic BlackBoard(TM)
to calculate race results for their events have the ability to upload to their WEB site files containing the results in an easy to read tabular format.
