The Automated Shift Scheduler is a computer program that quickly and accurately handles your staff scheduling needs in a user-friendly Microsoft Windows environment. The Automated Shift Scheduler will manage your staff scheduling needs from the set up of shift times to the printing of schedules. All employee and job position data is maintained by the program's database and may be retrieved for future administrative and H.R. uses, making your complex staffing issues more manageable.

The Automated Shift Scheduler will track:
Employees (including Seniority, Qualifications, and Posting Preferences).
Vacations and other time off.
Pay Rates.
Job Positions and Requirements.
Shift Descriptions and Times.
Daily Schedules.

Why Use the Shift Scheduler?

Ease of Use.
The program can be learned and mastered within a very short period of time. Clearly identified data windows ensure that all vital information is entered.
Time Saving Speed.
Once all of your data has been entered the program will generate schedules with the push of a button. If someone calls in sick simply remove them from that day and re-generate the schedule. Employees will be automatically shifted around -- as defined by you -- to fill any empty jobs. The domino effect is handled in electronic seconds instead of manual hours.

The program can handle any number of Employees, Job Positions, Shifts, and Shift Times, all of which are defined by you.

The software has been in use since 1998 with minimal down time and only a few minor bugs being reported. Currently there are no identified bugs in the production version.

Codes
All Codes are defined by you (the user) and are setup under the following categories:
Shift Times
Shift Rotations
Corporate Divisions
Positions (within the Corporate Divisions)
Postings (e.g. Posted, 1st Relief, 2nd Relief, ..., Competent)
Vacations and other time off

Reports

Employee Data: The "Employee Data" report prints all Employee data sorted by Seniority with two Employees per page. This allows an 8.5 X 11 piece of paper to be cut in half to produce a convienient 8.5 X 5.5 Employee card.

Absent Employees: The "Absent Employees" report list which Employees are away and when, and is sorted by Seniority.

Postings: The "Postings" report lists the jobs that each Employee is qualified to do and is sorted by Employee Seniority.

Positions: The "Positions" report list each job and how many people are required per Shift. This report is organized by Division.

Scheduled: The "Scheduled" report prints the Shift Schedule for the Date specified.

Time Off: The "Time Off" report lists all Employees who are away on a specified date.

Layed Off: The "Layed Off" report lists all Employees who could not be scheduled for a specified date.

Minimum System Requirements

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 95 or better.

Hardware: A Pentium class computer with at least 32 MegaBytes of RAM.

Disk Space: The program, its data files, and all system files require at least 36 MegaBytes of hard drive space. As the amount of your data increases so will the required disk space.

License and Customizing Fees
